APPROVAL OF AGREEMENT BETWEEN BRIGHT FUTURES LEARNING, INC., AND THE SCHOOL BOARD OF SARASOTA COUNTY TO PROVIDE SES SERVICES FOR TITLE I SCHOOLS 2007-2008
Description
Bright futures Learning, Inc. will provide small group tutoring services to eligible students attending Title I schools not meeting AYP. Tutoring sessions will take place in community centers, no more than twice a week with each session not to exceed 1 hour. Group size will not exceed 5 students. Bright futures Learning, Inc. will provide ESE services and LEP services.
Recommendation
That the School Board of Sarasota County approve the agreement with Bright Futures Learning, Inc. to provide SES services to eligible Title I students.

Financial Impact
Sessions are to be paid at an hourly rate of $65.00 per student in small group instruction, not to exceed $987.00 per student for the duration of the agreement. The provider is to be paid from Title I funds as stipulated in No Child Left Behind.
***The Title I SES Tutoring Program is currently in its setup process based on the DOE approved Sarasota Provider list and enrollment / eligibility mailings to Title I Parents. Once the providers have obtained executed agreements with parents and district, 310 contracts will be executed based on the provider's hourly rate and number of students with completed agreements.
